With regard to waterproofing cracks
in concrete, or providing
basement wall crack repair
services, our approach involves
drilling a series of holes at 6"
intervals along the run of each
crack. Each access hole is 3/8" in
diameter, set perpendicular to the
run of the crack and angled at 45
degrees so that the drilled hole
crosses the crack at the approximate
centre of the concrete being treated
thus ensuring the most effective
distribution of sealant.
Injection
ports are placed in each hole and
all crack surfaces are then washed
with concentrated sulphuric acid,
(85% food grade), under pressure and
rinsed with water to ensure a clean
bondable surface. A polyurethane
resin with an expansion and drying
activator is then injected at up to
2,100 PSI until excess resin begins
to emerge from the visible crack
face ensuring the resin has
completely filled the cavity. The
resin will then set and expand to 20
times its fluid volume ensuring the
crack is sealed completely water
tight. Give us a call today if
